Nai Brother Chinese Sauerkraut Fish

The flavor is authentic and powerful in an inviting way. My friend and I were both impressed by it. Definitely will come back to try another item on the menu.

It's an acquired taste, Nai Brother cooks the sauerkraut fish well, very tender. However, the sourness and spiciness tend to overwhelm the main ingredients (fish, shrimp etc) so you can't tell how fresh the meat is. Worth trying to see whether this is your cup of tea. I prefer the Cantonese style which emphasize on ingredient freshness and less spiciness, or the Vietnamese pho with beef broth.

This is a new Chinese restaurant for sliced fish fillets located inside the Great Wall Supermarket. We ordered the signature soup and a spicy dry pot. The price was reasonable and both the dry pot and soup were good. Seating is located in the food court. We arrived at noon on Saturday. A lot of seats were available. The menu is friendly for both solo and group dining. Rice comes with the Sauerkraut fish. Many people order takeout here as well.

This is a chain that has locations all over New York. I'm glad there is a location close to me. It's my go to for sauerkraut fish soup. They also have a secret menu for Fuzhou cuisine like peanut noodles, Fuzhou wontons and meatball soup that are pretty close to what I remember from Fuzhou.

New place inside of the Great Wall market. They offer a variety of soup dishes. Their sauerkraut fish is worth a try. Their spicy beef is also good.
