As big fan of Ethiopian cuisine I decided to check this place out Raleigh. Interesting decor, clean restaurant, and Ethiopian music playing as it should be. The waiter was attentive to begin with but a few periods of longer waits after ordering. I had the vegetarian medley and it was tasty but rather luke warm in temperature. The injira was plentiful but the did not serve the food on top of the injira as I am accustomed to and prefer, as it soaks up the flavor to eat at meals end. I would go again but they could step it up a bit on the food temp and wait.
Our first time eating Ethiopian cuisine after a long time wanting to try. I took my parents here who were visiting and it was 5 stars fantastic! We ate every single bite. Thank you to Angel who was our waitress and answered our questions from the menu to help us decide and gave us great service!! Highly recommend.
Had Ethiopian in every city I’ve lived, and this spot is fantastic. Been here a few times over the years and again today…Still a delicious, calm, mood enhancing experience. I got the veggie combo, baklava, and coffee shot…all got me feeling awesome. Love the staff too…the owner (I assume, or manager) who’s been here for years, is very kind. My first time here I was alone and emotional, and this same man saw me crying and gave me free baklava 😭How generous! I’ll always remember that. TLDR: Great service and high quality eats and experience. I definitely recommend this spot!
First time ever eating Ethiopian food and I believe we picked the best place to try it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in choosing our food and explain to us when everything was. Definitely a great place for a vegetarian to go.
Amazing selection and high quality! I used to live next to an Ethiopian restaurant in Philadelphia for years, so Ethiopian food has a very special place in my heart. My husband and I were in town for a wedding, and came up a day early so we could have dinner here. Well worth it! We ordered the Misto, Doro Wot, and the vegetarian combo. The meats were tender, the sauces were flavorful, and the spread was beautiful! I am picky about collards and cabbage, but they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. I can’t wait to come back and try more! The prices were reasonable, and we had two beers and one tequila drink.
