Nadia's Mac Shack

I was a few miles down the road at the bridges/river when I got hungry. I could've driven towards my destination (Sac) to Auburn for some food, but something told me to come here instead. I'm so glad I listened to my hungry stomach because this was a great experience. The service was amazing, I felt like I was making a friend not just eating a meal. Now the important part: the food. Phenomenal. Is it the absolute best mac I've ever had? Sadly, no. However, the flavor COMBO of the other ingredients with the Mac? Bombs away!! I ordered a BBQ panini with added mac, it took a little while to prepare and was worth it. I was hesitant about those red bell peppers, but Nadia clearly knew something about flavor profiles that I did not because it absolutely SLAPPED. I also took an order of the Class

10000% recommend. A place this awesome feels fitting to be in a place called Cool. Portions are generous, ingredients taste fresh, and packs flavor. The gluten free noodles were made to the perfect level - not mushy like most GF noodles turnout. Nadia is incredibly kind & service-oriented. Bonus points for Schitts Creek decor references! This was a perfect post-hike lunch.

You might think this is a restaurant for macaroons or macadamia nuts or or Macina peaches but you’d be wrong. It’s Mac and cheese and it’s phenomenal. Come in and say hi to Nadia with her beautiful smile she’ll serve you up the biggest pile of mac & cheese you’ve ever seen every flavor you want you cannot beat it so come into Nadia‘s And enjoy a delicious hot bowl of yummy mac & cheese. Made to order. You can get it to go or eat in and she even has a veranda for outdoor dining.

Nadia’s Mac Shack is truly a hidden gem! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is amazing! I had the classic mac and cheese with tri tip, cooked fresh right in front of me. The tri tip was delicious, but the mac and cheese was definitely the star. Creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor. They even have gluten free options, plus salads and sandwiches. I will definitely be back!

Such good mac & cheese, and the toppings are great too. I have had 3 different dishes from here and loved them all; just today, I tried their weekly special of Gumbo mac & cheese and it is my favorite so far! If you live up here and haven't tried Nadia's, you should and soon; if you are traveling through Cool, CA, this should be one of your stops!
