N8RDS FAMILY KITCHEN

I arrived on Tuesday afternoon to get lunch. This was next to my hotel that I was at due to a flight cancellation. I was indecisive as there were many options to choose from. I ultimately chose the sweet bay wings. I got the food to go as I had work to do as well. They charge a $1 to-go fee, which was not posted on the menu or anywhere in the restaurant. I overheard another person order and they are charging $3 for a personal size bottle of soda, which is wild to me. It took 30 whole minutes to get my food…I was so confused as to how long it took as it wasn’t busy at all. Nonetheless, the wings were DELICIOUS!!! I was not expecting them to be so good. So dissapointee as this was becoming my favorite spot but they will no longer get my business. Not sure if they just ran out of ingredients or was mad that I ordered before closing but I ordered the salmon cheesesteak and they replace the salmon with broccoli smothered in sauce. Who would eat a broccoli cheesesteak? Could have at least rejected the order if they didn’t want to make it or ran out of salmon. They lost a loyal customer today.

Food is good, but customer service is lacking. There was an issue with a previous order. We called to have it rectified. We were told as long as we arrived before a certain time, it would be handled. We arrived 20 mins before said time, but the only person in the business who could help left and we were made to wait 20 or so mins for the owner to return to fix the issue. Upon her return, she chatted with some people vs immediately tending to us. We decided that was the last day we'd patronize that business.

My favorite place to get dinner after work on Fridays especially because of the $5 Friday fish sandwich. I usually pair it with Crab or Seafood fries. Even if there’s a wait, the portions and taste are worth it! Another thing I love about them is the consistency…my food is always fresh, hot, and always tastes exactly the way it did the first time I ordered and fell in love with it. Forever a 10/10 gem!

Unfortunately the food was disgusting. I was hype about this place because I heard good things but the food was nasty. The chicken had little seasoning, the Mac and cheese was nasty and the yams were the worst yams I’ve ever tasted, very bitter. I also had spinach and it was greasy and very salty. The wait for the food was about 35 min and they were out of a lot of sides. Everybody was nice and the atmosphere was cool but whoever cooked that food needs not to cook anymore. 0/10 I wouldn’t eat here again.
