This property is the type of historic B&B anyone should expect. The house has the fascinating character for 91 years of history. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable for privacy. Common areas also clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent quality with the touch of personal chef interest for making you know your satisfaction is important. The owner/manager, Chris, is friendly and an interesting conversationalist that added to the enjoyment, as well as attentive to assure you feel welcomed. He contacted us before scheduled arrival to allow early check-in and surprised us with a room upgrade by anticipating our needs for the duration we had reserved. A very welcoming, stately home that preserves its heritage but adds modern comforts. We arrived to a full house but never felt crowded nor imposed upon. Our host, Chris, shares distinct perspectives on many subjects, well-seasoned by his global travels and natural, inquisitive curiosity, providing fascinating conversations. On top of that, the breakfasts he prepares are outstanding! Add 3 delightful Scottish terriers, a baby grand piano and the family's warmth for a truly memorable, enjoyable locale!

Great hosts with good communication and conversation. Beautiful and fascinating 1834 and 1841 historic house, possibly relating to Underground Railroad. Spacious room with small but adequate barhroom. Bed was full, not queen. TV hard to figure out. Breakfast was very well presented, fresh, and tasty. Easy parking. Located near center of town with dining nearby. Host provided good restaurant recommendation. Decent value.

We love this place! First of all, three adorable dogs live here, and we got to pet them. Second, the house is beautiful. We stayed in Julia's room for three nights and were very cozy. The room felt spacious enough, and the bed was very comfortable. We felt quite at home. Third, the host, Chris, has an encyclopedic knowledge of the area. We had fun discussing our plans for the day over breakfast and finding out what the best restaurants and antique stores are. Fourth, the breakfasts are fantastic. If you stay here, don't skip breakfast. If you're offered French toast, accept it. I would absolutely recommend staying here, especially if you have a few days.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Munro House for 5 days last week and it was such a wonderful experience! Chris was a joy to talk to and he was so kind to let us love on his sweet puppies while we were there. Breakfast was delicious and our room was clean and comfortable. We look forward to staying again in the future!
