Multimodal Roasting

Charming small roaster with a true urban industrial feel. Nothing fancy but this is a coop roaster with monthly tasting times. Purchased “leftover” beans from too good to go. Always very happy about it. Can be hard to find. The pics should help.

I can’t say enough great things about Multimodal. Paolo & team have built something special. A welcoming space for coffee professionals as well as coffee consumers/lovers of all levels/knowledge. If you want to roast with no prior knowledge & be supported imho this is the only option in NYC. Training/education & space renting with top of the line equipment to match the service & environment is also available. They also regularly host so many cool free public events like cupping, tastings, education. And lastly it serves as retail space & home for Regalia Coffee who are one of the best roasters in the world. I feel so fortunate & am grateful to have Multimodal in my city.

The best Roasting Collective there is out there. Very supportive and educational towards the growth of their members. Highly recommended. They are the incubator behind my business, Don Carvajal Café.

Great collaboration happened here . It’s like a community . Self directed once you get the help from the staff to effective roast , store , and be productive with your coffee . Words can’t describe the magical world Paolo created with multimodal roasting. It’s full of passion, community and knowledge. I reached out to Paolo for my husband’s birthday roasting experience. Paolo went above and beyond. His decades of experience in roasting, belief in nutritious coffee, and lovely family around him all immersed us in artisan coffee roasting and true dedication.
