If you're looking for authentic Cuban food in the Houston area, this is definitely the place to stop. I’d been craving a really good Cuban sandwich, and this place hit the spot. Today was my second visit, and it was just as good as the first — consistent quality all the way. The owner is incredibly kind, and you can feel the pride in the food. The beef empanadas were delightful: perfectly fried, flavorful, and filled with green olives (which I love). We also ordered the pork masas chunks with black beans, white rice, and sweet plantains. Everything tasted homemade and genuinely authentic. I haven’t tried their paella yet, but I saw it today and I’m already planning to come back for it — along with several other dishes on their menu. Excellent is short of describing this place! The best paella in Houston and trust me I know a good one! Everything we had was A+, Han croquets, the empanadas seriously good! The sangria on point and better than mine by far! You need to try this place and their amazing food! We’ll be back for sure. Yummy!

I ordered the chicken and rice, and it was excellent, full of great flavor and perfectly prepared. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The place was extremely clean, with a great overall presentation and atmosphere. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.

What a total 💎 GEM right in my own neighborhood!!! If you haven’t been to Mr. Sabor, you are seriously missing out. The food? 🔥 The sangria? 👌🏽 But listen… the flan 🍮 didn’t even make it to the photo op because it was that good. No exaggeration—one of the best flans I’ve ever had. Run, don’t walk… and don’t say I didn’t warn you 😌✨
