Mr. Lopez Mexican Restaurant

The first time I ordered here, I was thrilled. I thought I had finally found Mexican food that reminded me of what I grew up with in California. When I ordered a second time, I was shocked and not in a good way. The burrito was mostly rice, with what appeared to be a canned or frozen mix of carrots, corn, peas and green beans mixed in. The carnitas was grey and tough. Super disappointed.

They say this is a small place with a big taste and they ain't kidding. Again I find my self looking for some authentic cuisine and I found myself here with a coworker on lunch. I order the Chorizo, carne and al pastor tacos. Absolutely delicious! My coworker got the Chorizo borito with made me think I should have ordered this. I'll be returning again possibly for breakfast next time.

I’m really disappointed I ordered the chicken quesadilla and when the woman handed me the bag it felt so light I thought maybe she forgot to put the quesadilla in the container. I got to my car and once I opened it I then thought they forgot the chicken because it was so thin. Once I actually opened it I saw half the tortilla was missing cheese and chicken. Just felt like a rip off.

Avoid this place. I intended to eat here but walked out almost immediately because the interior was so dirty and disgusting. The freezers in the back were particularly horrifying, looking as though they hadn't been cleaned in years, with one unit having a broken lid and excessive buildup of old ice. I also had a very strange interaction with the woman at the money transfer counter (RIA). When I simply asked for the transfer percentage, she immediately demanded my personal information and driver's license. When I questioned this, she became hostile. The combination of terrible hygiene and sketchy, rude service made this a truly horrible and unsettling experience.

Fast, friendly and delicious. For their portions, I would call this place cheap. No idea how someone recently could say this wasn't authentic or was too expensive. Will definitely be back!
