Mountainside Smokehouse & Grill

We were looking forward to this place but were extremely disappointed. We order a Trail 5 combo (ribs, brisket, pulled pork) and a Catfish Morgan. The fish was good and my husband liked the Mac and cheese. The Ribs were dry and tough. We were thankful they gave us a steak knife otherwise we would not be able to portion the rib rack. The pulled pork was ok. The brisket was tough and dry and a small portion. The menu stated that the Trail 5 combo fed 2 however the meats were skimpy. I would say it feeds 1. For our side we ordered a double order of French fries. It was more like one serving but at least they tasted good. Sorry to say I can’t recommend this restaurant. The service was ok. Had an excellent first experience here a couple weeks ago. I have been frequenting the Old Forge area for years and always had my "Go to" eating spots. This time we decided to check out one that had been recommended by many. To keep this short, they are now one of my "go to" places to eat. The menu was plentiful, The staff was speedy, and personable. We even stayed for quite a bit afterward with the Owner and staff talking about the business and their story. You can tell they put their heart into this place. The flavor was fantastic! I can't wait to be back on our October trip. Give this place a chance, You won't be sorry!

The food was mostly standard smokehouse deliciousness but the creamed corn was life changing. I told my wife I'd consider a 6 hour road trip just to try it again!

The food here is super delicious, great place to stop for a drink and meal! Got the corn chowder with brisket slider and order of fries, everything was very fresh and yummy.

This evening, we went to Mountainside Smokehouse & Grill and ordered the Fulton Chain Combo, which the menu says serves up to three people. It came with a half rack of St. Louis ribs, pulled pork, turkey, brisket, and chicken. For sides, we ordered coleslaw and potato casserole. It also came with cornbread and garlic toast. Unfortunately, nothing tasted fresh. The cornbread was dry and stale, and the garlic toast was equally dry with hardly any garlic flavor. The coleslaw had a grey tint, the potato casserole was bland, and the side portions were small. Our bread basket included just one tiny piece of cornbread for a combo meant for multiple people. The meats were just bland and disappointing. The ribs were not tender, the brisket was grey, and the turkey was extremely dry. For chicken,
