23OCT.2024 First time stopping in and the lady(Julie?) was nice to me and the guy who was at the window as well. HUGE mums and a great selection and prices. So many different plants and wonderful sales. This spot also sells food, drinks, shakes, and has a space that is covered if you want to sit and eat.

Being a D.C. native, I’m usually weary when it comes to getting food in rural places. Typically- I’m afraid that it will be bland or overpriced because it’s a small business in the middle of nowhere Maryland. HOWEVER. This place was so good! The food was priced well, seasoned AMAZINGLY, and the portions? Out of this world. Must try deli, skip the Subway and come here.

Husband ordered the $22 Pit Beef Combo (pit beef sandwich with fries). The beef was bland, the bun was soggy, and the fries tasted like they were day old and reheated in warm (not hot) oil...they were soggy not crispy. My club sandwich ($13) was good. Also ordered a Dr. Pepper ($3.50) that tasted so gross I could only take 2 tiny sips...tasted like it was run through a dirty machine. Wound up throwing the whole large cup of it away. The service was good though and there was a shaded picnic area to eat.

Passing through on the way home and very high quality, delicious food!! Platter meal plus soup came to $20. Wait time was close to 20 minutes but it's all made fresh and worth it! Spacious picnic tables outside to eat in the beautiful weather. Friendly staff and right across the street is the historic market stand.

My son and I stopped in for lunch. Pork BBQ, handout fries and smoked mac n cheese. All AMAZING! The service was quick and friendly, and the Dr. Pepper was delicious!
