Mount Vernon Restaurant & Pub

I ordered the lobsters, oysters, and New England clam chowder for lunch during a weekday. Everything was delicious and completely satisfying. The price of the seafood here is surprisingly budget friendly. I wish to come again and order something else like the crab cake.

Our experience at Mountain Vernon was fabulous! The food was absolutely exceptional, the quality of the ingredients, the taste and the preparation made our diner an absolute blast. The attention was also fantastic, they were very kind to advise on plates and answering all our questions. I strongly recommend visiting this gem if you are nearby. We’ll be back!

Service was great! Was in private dining area and servers and owner were amazing! Food was great, the owner even gave the group a "how to" lesson for the lobster. Definately recommend.

I was looking forward to going to this neighborhood spot since the reviews were favorable. We were going to sit at the bar and noticed lots of empty drinks and bottles. I asked the waitress if anyone was still sitting there and she rolled her eyes and never answered me. I did however get an answer from another customer letting us know those guests had already paid their bill and left. I thanked them but by this time I was so turned off by the poor customer service that we left. I would like to think that this wasn’t a racist experience, but I’m inclined to believe that “our kind” weren’t welcomed there. I can’t say I’d try to go there again based on this unfortunate experience. Everyone’s money is green so I suggest going forward you do better.

I have been here 20years ago. It is always brings me the best food and services. People love their twin lobsters. However, I highly suggested to try some others. Those are also great!
