Morgan County Statesman

Excellent home town newspaper. Great columns. I am truly amazed each week. They have in depth personal interest stories, sports and other information you will find nowhere else.

Strange to see a singular review that says the paper is far right…. Because most actual subscribers likely feel it’s center or left… BUT, the editors and owner are very careful to report on facts, not gossip. They also keep it local rather than pulling information from larger surrounding cities, unlike other larger cities’ publications. The price of the paper is still $1, although I’m not sure how much longer we will get to enjoy it! It is also now called the Morgan County Statesman.

I've found news coverage to be very poor and extremely slanted to the far Right. Over and over this paper will leave out very important local news because it's too controversial. Instead the paper spends most of it's space on high school sports teams. I'm sorry but that's NOT the local news coverage that I expect or need.

Without a doubt, the best newspaper in Versailles.
