Moondance Wine Bar

What an amazing new wine bar in Lake Toxaway with incredibly delicious food! Everything we ordered was the best ever…spinach salad, tuna tar tar, and lobster roll! And the carrot cake was superb! Andrea and Justin were so welcoming and hospitable…we are looking forward to going back again soon! Almost forgot to mention the great wine selection…many of our favorites! Highly recommend!

Small counter top/bar seating. Small rotating menu with nice wine pairing. The lobster roll is prepared Connecticut-style warm lobster in light butter sauce and is delicious. The wine market has a nice selection of reasonably priced quality wines in addition to some higher end names.

One of our favorite places in the area. Warm and inviting, excellent food (always something different) and great wine. We always feel like we left having had lunch with friends. Their shelves are stocked with an impressive selection of wine to take home.

The food is good and an excellent wine selection. The cook and server were very accommodating as we had a few dietary restrictions. Pretty expensive though. Not out of line for what was offered but definitely not a budget choice.

I enjoyed (off menu) some delicious fresh oysters fried to juicy perfection by Justin, the tuna tartar (on the menu) and delicious fresh carrot cake. After talking with Andrea about what was available, her wine recommendation was exactly what I wanted - all deliciously wonderful. My dog was welcome too (though of course not at the bar where food and wine were being served). We’ll be back! Since Lake Toxaway is rather remote and roads can be iced over in the winter, we especially appreciate Andrea’s effort to update hours Moondance is open on Google Maps each day.
