Monterrey's Mexican Restaurant

We have been coming here for years as it’s our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Service was great with frequent check ins. Our main dishes were delicious, as always. However, we ordered guacamole and received a soupy mixture on a plate. If avocados were in it, there must have been 3x as much tomato and onion and lime juice. Very bizarre! The other unusual thing is we were charged $3.89 per water. It was just regular water! We’ll try again but if it’s the same as tonight, we will explore other options.

I truly love this place! My wife and I have been coming here for years because the prices are always reasonable, the food is consistently outstanding, and the service is great. I can honestly say that every time we've been here, the food has been delicious. Everything is made from scratch, and you can definitely tell. Portions are extremely generous, and you get alot for your money. As of the date of this review, their dinner combos, which are all priced uniformly at $14.99, are a true bargain, because for that you get a gigantic plate of food! On this most recent visit on 9/18/25, I had a combo with an enchilada, a burrito, beans and rice. Everything was extremely tasty, and as per usuaI, I had enough left over for a hearty meal at home. I’ve been coming here for years, which makes this especially disappointing. I stopped in for lunch with a friend and my child. The food was mediocre, but the real issue was the service afterward. The waitress added a larger tip to my debit card than the amount I authorized. I called to report it and was told a manager or owner would contact me, but I never received a follow-up. That lack of accountability is unacceptable. I will not be returning or spending another dollar here. I strongly recommend keeping your receipt if you choose to dine here—especially if Sharon is working.
