MSU does not only charges students to park, but also does not and cannot guarantee parking to individuals with parking passes. Students often have to show up significantly early to get parking and cannot leave during the day without losing their spot. There are more students with parking passes then there are parking spaces. The campus also does not provide adequate ice removal despite shaded areas and high foot traffic.
I have gotten 4 degrees at msu my first on having credits from 3 other colleges as I was in the military while working on it. Msu is by far the best university i have attended. Does it have problems? Like any large bureaucracy yes. But generally it is still personal and you can usually find an actual person that will directly help you with whatever issue you are having. Also the vet support center is the best in the country.
Such a beautiful campus. Visited the bookstore for some Cat gear... which I highly recommend! Walked down to see the ducks and up to the tailgates section. Go Bobcats!
I graduated from MSU in 2014, and I had a good experience. I remember the professors were impartial and fair, with nothing standing out in my memory to the contrary. I visited again recently this year (2025) and the campus has grown a ton. There are several new buildings and renovations that have been completed since my time there. The only issue that I had was there was a program for people that lived in Washington and Idaho to attend the school and not pay out of state tuition. I recall that I was initially charged the out of state tuition, but it ended up being a moot point I did not have to peruse due to attaining an ROTC scholarship. I received my degree in Psychology, and while this school has a stronger agricultural and engineering focus, I still found that the psych program nest
This university does not care about its students, it just cares about making money and beating record enrollment.
