Monahan's Seafood

I enjoyed a flavorful Caribbean seafood chowder with a rich tomato base, paired with a fresh and zesty Cajun shrimp salad. Both dishes were delicious and well-prepared. The staff was warm, attentive, and eager to help, making the entire dining experience exceptional.

Monahan's serves my favorite food in Ann Arbor. This was my favorite place to go to, and I used to go there at least once a week. Everything is fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection. I would almost always get the brown butter scallops with a side of rice. I loved the fish n chips, salmon with grenobloise sauce, variety of fresh oysters, steamed mussels, beer battered shrimp also! This place is a must visit!

From my cultural tradition it's fish that is the center of Christmas dinner. Prepared in 3 different ways : breaded, baked in butter and cooked in prune/red wine sauce. I ordered bass, lake trout and cod. They were superb!!! Add the outstanding customer service and you have a winner. Worth every penny and much more, Monahan's is now our place to go for the best market fish! Thanks for making our first Christmas in the new home truly remarkable ! Líza

They sell a three pack of sushi grade salmon, tuna and it's awesome. We had a sushi night with the family and the fish was great. Also bought the 3 pack of calamari steaks! Sauted them in a pan of butter and it was great!!!

Their seafood quality is top notch! I go here with friends regularly. Can't go wrong with fish n chips or salmon burger (if you're strapped on $). Their fried calamari is amazing. Clam chowder is also amazing. Their blackened salmon burger tastes great, but it's a bit pricey for how small the piece of salmon is, so I usually just go for the salmon burger. Tartar sauce is really good!! Recommendation: If you're with friends, get a large side of cajun fries plus extra side of tartar sauce for the fries and split with them.
