Mon Cafe Japan (Surfside)

My first time here. Cashier was very patient when I asked a lot of questions. I got the medium express bowl with white meat chicken cooked with teriyaki sauce, veggies and rice. It came out quickly and was very delicious! Portions are generous. I will definitely come back!

First off I'd like to say I originally tried to call about 4 or 5 times to place an order. They either have childish and immature people controlling the phone and or they don't believe in out of town calls, which is weird being that it's a spot everyone Vacations at. Anyways, first time I called they immediately hung up before it finished ringing. This was around 6:40ish Saturday Night on 8/26. Next two calls they let it ring a few and then hung up. The 4th time someone picked up and mumbled something and then just sat there not saying anything with me responding. After the dumb tries in trying to place an order by calling I decided to go up there since they are 1 mile from my dad's house. Have been coming to this place since my wife was in high-school. Probably some of the best Japanese food I've had, including places where they cook in front of you. Staff is polite and there is no charge for extra shrimp sauce. The sushi is very good as well. Always a stop anytime we are in Myrtle Beach.

We got food for 8 people. All of it was delicious and good portions. The guy that took our order was SUPER nice and friendly which was refreshing. They also are generous with their sauces and don't charge extra for them which I have not seen anywhere. Very nice overall experience. Highly recommend.

For 1 combo meal of shrimp n chicken teriyaki and side order of 2 spring rolls the total came to $23++. No drinks. That's a little high. But the food is fresh and good. It's good on rare occasions.
