Great diner-style business, and sole proprietor. The veggie omelets were delicious, so was the coffee. The owner served us and was a delightful person, you can tell he loves what he's doing. Prices were reasonable, service was excellent, food was delicious. This place isn't a posh atmosphere, but it is comfortable and homey, with old family photos covering the walls, and a warm greeting when you arrive. I'll definitely be back! Support small businesses and the American dream!
Super food, and low prices for the best omelet I've had. It's a cute little diner with friendly staff and plenty of parking. I recommend you try breakfast at this hidden gem.
With all the five-star reviews, I had high expectations. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The avocado benedict with crispy hash browns was just okay. The food arrived hot, which is a huge plus, but there was no flavor. The English muffins were hard and chewy with little ham on top. Also, the avocado was old and discolored. The prices on the menu do not reflect what you'll pay. The eggs Benedict was $2 more than the menu price. The service was fantastic and the waiter was personable. They do have an early bird special that might be worth your while.
This was kind of a difficult place to rate. A person could easily give this place 5 stars or even 3 stars. It all depends on perspective or personal taste. I tend to have a big breakfast, so keep that in mind. This place does have lots of choices for breakfast, so that is always appreciated. I ended up getting the Sierra Scramble with a pancake on the side. The Scramble was a little unconventional, but that didn't detract from the taste. Full disclosure, I was asked how I want my eggs, which isn't something I ever had a choice on a "scramble". Anyway, I blurted out over-easy as that is always how I have my eggs normally. As you will see from the pics, the scramble only has 2 eggs, normally there are 3, and the pancake is pretty small. Portions aside, the food was good and the service was
owner- server has an excellent memory. He can take several orders at once with no notepad. I can barely remember my own name...Mick is very hospitable and remembers your name, drink and orzers from the past. He is very kind and honest..The place is a little run down, but Mick & AJ (the cook) make up for it with their great made from scratch food and hospitality. One of my favorite breakfast/lunch places in Auburn...
