Mom's Family Restaurant

I don't normally leave bad reviews. The chicken wings were dry and rubbery, they tasted like they were warmed up in microwave. We asked if they were just made today or were they leftover from yesterday and the waiter said he would have to check. He came back and said they were fresh. I wish i would have taken a picture. There wasn't any flavor to the sausage gravy. The chicken biscuit and home fries were pretty good. The rest of our meal was mediocre at best.

We asked our waiter for suggestions and he gave us some great ideas. WE ordered the Chicken & Chorizo quesadilla, Chili cheese dog platter with fried Okra, (fantastic) and the coleslaw was perfect, reminded me of my own mother's. I had to get dessert so I ordered 2 pancakes with strawberry topping and whipped cream. EVERYTHING was AMAZING!

I ordered the country fried steak, it was delicious! It didn’t taste or feel Greasy, the coleslaw was GOODDDDDD!!!! Has such a homey feeling, and the staff were amazing! 10/10 recommend!

I have scored a couple of breakfast items so far (Bacon or Sausage & 2 Eggs). The first time I got bacon, grits, and a biscuit with a side of sausage gravy. The food was really good and the sausage gravy was amazing. The second time, I chose patty sausage, home fries, and pancakes. As before, the food is really good. However, the home fries were outstanding. I am not joking when I say these are the best home fries I've ever had. The side of sausage gravy went quite well with them. I want to try some of the lunch/dinner items as well.

This restaurant was recommended to us. I ordered the Southwestern scrambler and added the refried beans! Yes!! This was an awesome breakfast!! First of all the service was excellent! The steak burrito and scramble were delicious. The potatoes and refried beans were also delicious. The homemade salsa was the perfect balance of flavor and heat. I loved it!! If you want a Mexican breakfast, they have chilquiles as well. You will not be disappointed with any of the meals. Thank you for breakfast, Mom's Family Restaurant!! We enjoyed it!!
