I appreciate Momo Masala as a neighborhood restaurant option—great flavors and menu! I have found them to be a bit unreliable for take out, sometimes forgetting parts of the order and most recently serving moldy bread (see photo). But even with bad experiences, I do still love the food… For that reason, I’d recommend dining in!
Tasty, chicken momo masala was amazing, and paired well with the roti. Madras lamb curry wasn’t bad either. Would definitely return if back in Jamaica Plain
Ordered food for takeout. Everything was well packaged. The portions are very large for the price! Everything tasted really good. I would order from here again!
Went for a late lunch so the spot was pretty empty. I knew I wanted mango lassi as I always will, but I also ordered chicken momo's, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and some rice. The lassi seemed to me as pre-made, but was still refreshing. The momo's caught by pleasant surprise with how great they were! The seasoning and spice level were impressive but not over the top. They made me realize how bland east Asian dumplings usually are. Secondly, the chicken tikka masala along with the seasoned rice were a delicious combo. The chicken was savory, tangy, with a hint of sweetness. The rice had some sort of seasoning that made it more than just regular old rice, which was a great addition to the chicken. Lastly, the garlic naan was a bit overcooked and I didn't really taste any garlic, bu
An excellent spot in JP for some of the best Indian food in the city. This is my 6th time visiting the restaurant and the first time the lighting in the restaurant was nice enough to take some pictures. This place isn't afraid to make authentic Indian food. Just be sure to tell your server you would like an authentic level of spice and your mouth (and guts) will burn. For most, a mild or mid level of spice would suffice. I love their Special Briyani, which is a combination of fish, shrimp and chicken. Now, the service was hit or miss. Today, the service was weak. They had 4 servers in the restaurant who were happy to stand and watch things go by rather than be attentive or helpful. They were also eager to get you OUT of the restaurant by placing the check on your table as quickly as they
