We came out to kick off my birthday weekend and our server, Charlotte Grace made it extra special. From sake selections, to playing roll roulette with us and choosing options for us they thought we would enjoy, it was a fantastic night. The Hama Chili sashimi appitizer, seared albacore, a dragon roll that breathes fire - everything was great. The atmosphere was great with a fantastic 90's alternative playlist. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Charlotte Grace for making our night so special.
Easy to drop in for reasonably priced food. The restaurant noise can be loud so it is more high energy and u may have to talk louder if seated inside
Had dinner at Moira Sushi in downtown Phoenix and I'm so glad we went. The ambience was super chill but stylish, perfect for a date night. The service was friendly and quick, and they made us feel really welcome. The sushi? So fresh and flavorful. The spicy tuna roll and baked lobster roll were definitely the standouts. Great spot for good vibes and even better sushi can't wait to go back!
Moira has been our go to sushi place for 15 years and we have never been disappointed; until now. This was hands down the worst meal we've ever had at Moira. The crackling calamari, always our starter, used to be a bowl filled with tender, flavorful calamari tossed with crisp, fresh vegetables. This time it was dry, tasteless and plopped on a tiny plate with a few sliced carrots, cabbage and two slivers of red pepper. The portion was small, void of any mushrooms and overpriced. The Zuwai was dry and tasteless with a texture that gave the impression it was pre-made a few days earlier. It was supposed to be made with asparagus but they didn't have any so we substituted cucumber. They were also out of tea which left few options for those who don't drink alcohol or soda. Nothing tasted fresh,
we came In on February 7 excited to try some good sushi after reading the reviews. we got the chefs special , hand rolls , a bunch of appetizers and miso Soup . The yellow tail tastes so fishy which I was so confused about , the rice was super sweet something I hate in my sushi , the handroll had so much rice it made me gag . This is definitely not authentic sushi .i was so disappointed ☹️ but the white tuna is delicious .
