Moe's Original BBQ

Winner Winner Chicken & Ribs dinner! 😋 1st time at Moe's, what a great BBQ place. I'm a competition BBQ Judge from Nashville & I must say "Try Moe's". Ribs are definitely top notch, I would compare it to any of the top winning ribs in the country - taste, moisture, tenderness, & flavorful 'bark'. The bark is a dark tastey slightly crunchy crust that forms on exterior of meat during the smoking process. It is not burned, just a combination of spices from the rub, rendered fat, & smoke. These are simply "ribs dun right". Also had side order of the pulled chicken - umm umm good! The plate comes w 2 sides : Cole slaw is marinated vinegar based w a bit of green pepper & onion - goes nicely w the BBQ. And corn - w bits of sausage, red pepper, & onion (of course not plain). The wonderful smell of BBQ when entering is the first thing that hits you and makes you hungry. The staff are wonderful and the food was amazing. Reasonably priced. Very accommodating to gluten free individuals. Allowed to make substitutions to sides that weren’t gluten free. Overall a great experience and I shall return.

The second you walk into Moe’s Original BBQ, it smells amazing. That smoky barbecue smell hits you right away and you just know the food is going to be good. I got the smoked chicken sandwich and it was so good. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and you could really taste that it had been smoked the right way. It was simple but done really well. The cornbread was hands down the best part. It was soft, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. I honestly could have eaten a whole pan of it by myself. It was that good. The mac and cheese was okay. Not bad, just not as great as everything else. It didn’t really stand out, but it was still decent. On top of the food, the service was great from start to finish. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and everything came out quickly.

I got the pulled pork platter with mac 'n cheese and potato salad for sides and a bonus side of chicken tenders. The pulled pork was good! The potato salad was okay, not great. The mac 'n cheese was dry "mac" and basically no cheese. If they want my recipe I'll gladly give it to them! The chicken tenders were crispy and well seasoned!

They have sweet tea! Not that I drink it, but it is very hard to find around here… they also sell Spindrift seltzer! The smoked chicken was very moist. Cornbread was very good. Hubby got the wings, which are smoked then fried. They had sweet potato casserole on special and it was too sweet for me, i didn’t finish it. Brown sugar and Frosted Flakes. We will be back. I liked the white sauce, hubby preferred the red.
