Mochi and Cream

I finally made it to Mochi and Cream after wanting to go for a few weeks now! We ordered matcha and ube gelato wrapped in mochi, along with hot jasmine tea. The gelato feels fresh and house made and the mochi is super doughy!!! The vibe is great and the staff is very nice and welcoming. They also have a few claw machines! Overall, a spot that I can’t wait to go to again :)

New gelato spot just opened on Steinway. The space is big, bright, has plenty of seating, which is great for hanging out. They offer a wide range of cold drinks like boba, fruit teas, smoothies, but no hot drinks. I was planning to get gelato, but couldn’t really handle a cold drink and gelato at the same time. Would love to see hot drink options added in the future. For gelato, I tried the Dubai chocolate, super rich chocolate flavor with real pistachios and generous chunks, which was a nice surprise. The mochi is made fresh right in front of you, so it’s very soft and chewy. They also have claw machines, a 10-second press challenge, and even painting activities. We loved this spot! It just opened. We got the matcha gelato with mochi wrap. So delicious. I got the small but recommend getting the large to have a better proportion of gelato to mochi. The staff was so nice and gave us coins to play the claw machines! They have lots of other sweets. Such a great new spot!

Mochi is super chewy and bouncy, sweet but not overly sweet, with a great texture. What flavors are there? Peanut, Oreo, and sesame — I love them all.

Love the taste of mochi freshly made and wrapped in ice cream in front of you! The mochi is nice and chewy to go along with the ice cream they make in house. Spoke with the owner and he was passionate about making a quality product with quality ingredients. Really big space and clean with fun games in the back for kids. Will be back again!
