Miya Sushi

Miya Sushi has been my go-to place for over 20 years since my Japanese friend introduced me. It has always been one of the highest quality, best value, not overly fluffed expensive, local hangout, go-to under the radar sushi restaurants that I could have ever wished for. I am shocked that there are not lines out the door due to the value for what you get. Quality Sushi and friendly service that you could ever ask for. I bring all my friends here and they all agree it's the best bang for the quality buck in sushi in LA. Get your butts over here and eat the rock shrimp roll and your pallet will melt!

Coming here for over 30 years! I've been to a wide range of Japanese restaurants -- from the really fancy expensive to the simple and cheap. This place sits at a fine balance with well prepared and luscious plates at an affordable price. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Even with so many choices in the valley, this is my cozy go-to place. Btw if you haven't been here before, the Kaiyaki is a must try!

Great little Japanese restaurant I used to frequent when I worked near by. Over 20 years later the food is still fantastic and almost exactly the same. It is of course known for their sushi and seafood but I really enjoy the tempura, which I get as all vegetables, the batter is super light and crispy and not too oily, which is very rare to find these days as many places tend to over batter there tempura. (Note that they now offer brown rice with meals that are trying to watch their carbs or have low glycemic meals) The miso soup that comes with many of the meals is excellent as well, they didn't skimp on the miso so it doesn't taste watered down like some restaurants.
