Mitsuba 成都印象

We had a very nice mother/son Valentine's Day dinner this evening. The food was wonderful as usual and Fanny and her staff are so kind. I even received a flower and Mitsuba vase with 2 chocolate kisses. Looking forward to our next visit.

A so-so Chinese-style restaurant. We arrived close to 5 PM on a Friday, and we were the only customers there for the next hour. The service was okay, but the moment we walked in, there was a strong cooking smell that filled the entire room — as if the kitchen hood had never been turned on. The food wasn’t impressive either; very ordinary, like something you can find in a food court. Only highlight was “grilled fish sushi “ , kind of “decent” dish.

No frills spot for Japanese and Chinese food. The sushi is acceptable. The Chinese and Japanese entrees shine, but I would suggest avoiding the appetizers (the agadashi tofu was bland but crispy) and dumplings (they are frozen). They were very kind and offered free pieces of a roll to start. The chicken katsu is a great deal - at $15 you get a 2x juicy chicken breast with light and crispy panko breading + salad + miso soup + rice. Overall, not too bad if you are hungry and looking for a filling meal that does the job. $15-25 per person. Parking is abundant

Mitsuba delivers. It’s not just an authentic experience—it sparks curiosity. The menu is deep, with plenty of options I hadn’t tried before, and that sense of discovery keeps me coming back. Everything feels intentional, from the preparation to the presentation, and it rewards diners who like to explore beyond the usual order. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why great kitchens never stop teaching you something new.

Our family had a really good time here. Food is so fresh delicious and service is great!! Highly recommend.
