Mississippi Gumbo

Once upon a time I went to New Orleans, there I ate many delicious sandwhiches and gumbos. This area has produced restaurants that have proffered a Po Boy before, and while I have enjoyed them greatly, I spent my Friday night in awe of just how delicious this amalgamation of fried crawfish, spicy remoulade, lettuce, pickles and some mystery spice topping turned out to be. I will be telling anyone who listens for longer than 2 min. just how good this sandwhich was. I am currently struggling to justify ordering one every friday from here on out. Coupled with a happy and upbeat person greeting me at the door and this can be counted as one of the best food experiances in recent memory. P.S. The food here is SO good. The gumbo was perfect and the crawfish po boy was insane. Cannot recommend Mississippi Gumbo more.

Don’t make the same mistake I did!! A while back an ad for this business came across my feed on Facebook. I left a smart a** comment on it. I think it was something about the description saying the pic was with fries and the photo had chips. I was just trying to be funny. The business replied and was nice about it. I told them they earned my business. Time passes and I keep forgetting to order when they are open. Today was the day. I ordered a shrimp po boy with waffle fries and beignets. Here’s where my mistake comes in. I waited WAY too long to experience the deliciousness. Just everything was fantastic. I really liked the bread used for the sandwich. Mannnn let me tell you a little something. For a soft launch, to go only brand new restaurant, this place has the sauce! I lived in Louisiana for 7 years and this place brought me back a little bit. Everything was fresh and extremely tasty. The fried pickles need some work, but I can not wait to see what they can do with a full restaurant up and running. Go on and get that Mississippi sauce on everything!
