Mint Tapas and Sushi 3 (Holladay)

Mint... was mint perfection! We happen to randomly choose this restaurant while visiting Utah and we're so happy we did! One of the best restaurants we've been to! The dishes were not only well plated and presented but innovative and well prepared! All the dishes we ordered were very tasty! When your 11 yr old comments that "they really know how to make sauces", you know you've got a great food! The ambiance was trendy but also classy without being stuffy. Sloan was an attentive and well informed server! You should totally request him! Hint: if you get the kids California roll, request to have eel sauce drizzled on top with crunchies! We did a 10 course tasting which was so fun! We enjoyed most of the courses and others were so so. The employees were nice and brought out each dish quickly. The plating of each dish was exceptional. This 10 course tasting was so fun! I wish one of the courses was a sushi roll though. I’ll have to come back to try the sushi.

Overpriced. Under seasoned. Under staffed. Our waitress was a sweetheart, but clearly inexperienced. She was also the only one working lunch; not her fault, but detracted from the overall experience. The kitchen staff seemed barely present. One of them cleaned the underside of her nails above her station while watching her phone. Not the most appetizing sight while eating sashimi she just prepared for us. The chicken was dry, tasteless and overcooked. The price is also ridiculous for what you get. For the quality of service and food, this place is at least twice as expensive as it should be. The entire restaurant reeks of mismanagement and inexperience. Avoid.

Mint Tapas is one of my husband and I’s favorite dinner spots. The food is incredible. Our favorite tapas are rhe jalapeño hamachi and the sexy shrimp. The tapas are amazing! We’ve only had a couple rolls here, as we prefer the tapas. I highly recommend this place!

My bestie and I went there for lunch, we loved that they made sure everything we had was gluten free, Sloan offered exceptional service, even introduced us to a lovely ginger lemon tea. It was very fun and we will definitely be back. I have loved Mint and supported it for years, but now that location in Holladay is my fav!
