Mingo Creek Tavern

This is a great local restaurant. Food is great, service is collaborative, and the place is very clean. The only complaint I have is that it's always so loud (as it's an open space) with music playing, a pool table, TVs and its abundance of patrons. If the music was dialed down a smidge, my experience would be rated better. We've been here 7-10 times and I've never had a meal I didn't like. It's def worth checking out!

While nice, the food was overpriced. I got a mushroom Swiss burger, and it was just a regular sized bun, and it was $10.50 by itself - no sides included, not even chips. I bought a side of fries for $4. And neither was anything to write home about. My wife got a steak quesadilla, which was $13.50 and was OK - again, nothing special - she said the steak resembled Steak-Um shaved beef. She had one cocktail, which was supposed to be a southern mint ginger mule but had no flavor of mint or ginger beer, and I had two draft beers, and our tab was $53. In my opinion, not worth it. We won't be back.

I love the food here. But I had a horrible experience tonight . We had put our order in at 6:35 then one of the girls came over to our table and asked if we could finish eating by 7:30. Not our waitress by the way, she said the table was reserved...I think she was quite rude. How could we say we would be done by that time, I ask? Our waitress came over, with our drinks and said our order wasn't even placed yet. How fast are you going to get our food, I asked? The place im was packed...my husband wanted to leave but I didn't want to leave. I didn't know you could reserve a table, let alone the table wasn't marked reserved. We ended up moving to another table in the back. Not Pleased with this move!

I have visited this place 3 times while I was back in Pa for a visit. My food was always great so was the girl who waited on us. 2 of the times we had 8 people in our party. Our food came out hot and all together no one was waiting I highly recommend this place.

Finally Google sees y'all and I can review! What an amazing transformation!! They have incredible food I had the salmon burger and we had a whole heaping smorgasbord of appetizers to try. The Reuben tater tots are fantastic, the jalapeno poppers are also fantastic, the brussel sprouts blew my mind - they have traditional stuff too like the breaded hot pepper cheese balls and the mushrooms. My friend had the reuben sandwich and my other friend had the burger absolutely no complaints they have fresh cut fries which are my favorite and the atmosphere is to die for. And I will be back tonight 🤣
