Minato Izakaya & Garden by Porto Salvo

The food was super delicious to have a brand new updated menu and I had the chicken and shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were super seasoned. Very delicious and I had to order extra ones. I also had the tamarind Mojito and it was delicious as well. It had a nice mint flavor with tamarind mint flavor, just right. I just love this place. It was super cozy and everybody was respectful and nice and hospitable.

I have to say that this place has undergone several changes since it opened there's always the possibility of finding some variation in the food every time you go back. But what surprised me most was the quality of the drinks and the dedication and professionalism with which they are prepared as well as the attention to detail that makes them so delicious. I'm surprised by the quality of the drinks here in the Bronx. And I'm also surprised by the drastic change from a Japanese restaurant to a Mexican one. Marco provided excellent service, and the drinks were more than perfect.

Went to Minato yesterday to check it out and it was great. At first, I was disappointed by the lack of sushi on the menu. Marcos explained the menu changed at the new year to a mostly Mexican menu. He gave recommendations and didn’t disappoint one bit. Marcos was an awesome bartender and server. The steak/shrimp nachos I ordered were so delicious and well prepared. Definitely will be back to this hidden gem.

I remembered this place and had to leave a review, and I love it! The decor is amazing and the drinks are very generous It's a small cozy place, not too noisy, with great music and excellent service The cocktails are the best the bartender Marco is very friendly, and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend the tacos plus, they have great happy hour deals and other off-menu specials 😉

First time in NYC. Arrived late at night after landed. Disappointed to see it became a Mexican Tapas bar without updates on the Google map. I was expecting to have Sushi but they no longer serve sushi. They still have a few appetizers like Karaage chicken and Edamame. But just don't expect it is Japanese at all. We ordered Tacos, Octopus stew and seafood ceviche that is not bad. If I know what I am coming for, I would probably felt better.
