Mimmo's Italian Restaurant

This was my first visit here. This is a seasonal restaurant on the water in York Beach. This was a favorite of my mom's who passed a few years ago so I never enjoyed it with her. This is an Italian restaurant that has been here for decades. It is also a bring your own bottle establishment. Being an Italian place I brought a Chianti. The menu is consistent but there are specials. I had a haddock dish with a pine nut white sauce that was flavorful and not over powering. I also enjoyed stuffed mushrooms with a a red sauce that was more Sicilian (sweet and spicy). There are a couple rooms and I sat in a 3 season room that has a view of the beach. Good service, good food, good atmosphere. It is very popular so reservations are needed.

Best restaurant in York! Love the vibe here-excellent food and service! Our server Kristen was superb, prompt and friendly and the food was divine! We had garlic bread, house salad, egg plant parm and shrimp scampi everything was fresh and delicious! BYOB

My mom, my Aunt and I went to this quaint Italian restaurant having high expectations. Knowing that the prices were pretty high we expected great food, but were gravely disappointed. My mom got the Chicken Marsala and she said it tasted very bland and that even Olive Garden had better Marsala, my Aunt got the Chicken Parm and the only good thing about it was the Marinara sauce and there wasn’t even enough of it. I got the Chicken Alfredo, it looked very good and I couldn’t wait to dig in and when I did, I was very unsatisfied. The sauce was super bland and the chicken even more bland. In my opinion it was one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in York.

Overall a great dining experience. Service and food was awesome and waitstaff couldn’t be any friendlier. Met the owner and her daughter and enjoyed their hospitality. Plus they had Louis Prima music playing which I am a big fan of .

This was our first time here. Our server Nicole was outstanding, the service was 5 Star, the resturant vibe was neighborhood Italian And we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
