Canton Parks & Recreation runs Mills Pond Pool located in Mills Pond Park. There is a 50-meter pool, wading pool, and a brand new splash pad. Before entering the pool area, a fee must be paid. There are options to purchase a pool membership or pay a daily drop in fee; drop in fee is $5 for residents and $7 for non residents. You can bring your own chair/blanket to setup on the grassy area. There are drinks and snacks at the concession stand for a fee. They also offer swim lessons. The splash pad is small and simple, coming from Florida we had so many large and elaborate splash pads that were free. I know that this is New England and splash pads aren't a year-round thing so it doesn't have to be free or elaborate but since I was spoiled, I had to deduct a star for that reason. The pools wer
Pool looked nice. Had diving boards and it’s a pretty big pool like Olympic size or bigger. Has nice pool house to change and life guards and it’s in a really nice park that has almost everything you or your kids could want to do
Today was my first time going to mills pond pool. I was invited by a fellow mom and decided to give it a try with my 7 1/2 month old. When we got there around 4:30 i went up to the counter and tried to buy a day pass. Its a $15 minimum on a card so i had to carry my baby back to my car to try and find cash for the day pass. When i finally give the boy at the counter my money for the pass i ask if there is a wrist band or anything he says no he'll remember me. He doesnt tell me how to get to the pool or any other information that might be useful to know. I walk away and try to find the entrance to the splash pad and quickly realize I dont know where im going. I go back to the counter to ask and the girl at the counter is kind of rude with her directions like I should know where i'm going. A
Pool closed for winter; but it’s spring 2025 and went to play Basketball & hoop courts & tennis courts each locked with heavy chains and padlocks. Paper sign on court gate says closed for repairs. Doesn’t look like anyone started repairs & No timeline given on reopening & no alternative outdoor public B-Ball or Tennis courts listed. Very disappointed. I’m not in area often enough to know where else there’s free outdoor basketball, did I mention I’m very disappointed? Anyone from Canton, Avon, Simsbury or Farmington please tell me where adults can shoot hoops free in area. Cheers
I went for the skate park. It's pretty fun seems like a nice place for other sports like swimming and tennis maybe more. The park are a combo of a cement section and then asphalt with good ramps built on them several size grind boxes and a couple nice rails. Check it out.
