Millbrook Library

The Millbrook library is the gem of Millbrook! People come from far and wide to attend the programs they offer. My daughter and I have been going to the story hour for years and it's a highlight each week.

We love the Millbrook Public Library! They are welcoming and inclusive; the door opens for everyone. So grateful for the staff, who always look for new ways to give to the community.

Collection is okay but a bit lacking and dated; "quiet study" areas are positioned right underneath extremely loud fans that, despite their incessant noise, do absolutely nothing to cool down the incredibly hot & humid building. Unless you actually want a frustratingly loud study place that might not have what you need and will make you sit in a pile of your own sweat in order to study, I'd recommend another library.

Wonderful staff, wonderful assortment & programs, including a community fridge, tax prep help, IT support, art exhibitions, etc. This is a warm, welcoming & important pillar of a great community.

The people are very nice here. But the hours are limited compared to other libraries in the are (Dover-WIngdale and Pawling, have more hours). Last Saturday the website indicated that the library was open. It was closed during Memorial Day, the only library in the area to be closed for a holiday two days away. Beautiful building, nice staff, and several people buzzing around wondering why they couldn't get in, including one young mother with a baby that needed a book and a bathroom. Pay attention to your website! And fix the e mail address to the director. It still doesn't work. Thanks!
