Mikki's Soul Food Cafe

The place is nice and clean BUT the prices is very tricky. I try to support my brown businesses but they try to find ways to rip you off. If I am getting an entree that requires gravy why charge for rice??? I bought an oxtails plate and was charged for 3 sides instead of the rice being added to oxtails. You can’t eat oxtails without rice. The DoorDash prices are very expensive than walking in to buy a plate. That should be illegal to scam people with the prices online than walking in. I ordered the Soulfood bowl today and the meat was cold. Please do better and find staff that knows what they’re doing. They always seem confused. Who made this peach cobbler ? It’s thick and full and mushy crust with four to five peaches. Please do better.

I stopped in for the first time today during my lunch and I was blown away. The location is beautiful and welcoming. I desperately wanted to try the oxtail but not for lunch, so i will definitely be back. Instead I had the Mikki's bowl. With beef tips, greens, yams, and mac on a cornbread crust, it allowed me to taste a bit of everything. I was not disappointed. Can't wait to try everything on the menu!

I ordered the Apricot chicken and it was horrible. The greens are not cooked thoroughly, the chicken I received a thigh and 1 chicken back, the sauce no flavor and the mashed potatoes had too much pepper. All in all the experience at this location with the food was not good at all

Went for lunch wasn't please over paid for the 2 shrimp po and 2 sides for $30...and a lunch special $20 which came with a appetizer fish/baked chicken and sides.. when I was aware of the lunch special i asked to switch my order to the special... more for my money🤷🏾‍♀️... the manager took forever to come talk to me to switch out... n it wasn't that I wanted the difference in money but just to add the appetizer, fried pickles to compensate for the difference.. and I asked them to switch my po boy out for the fried fish..since they claim everything was made to order it that would make easier for them instead after waiting over 20 minutes to receive a baby po boy n I do mean baby 3 shrimp and a bunch of fries... that was fresh granted but that means they could made the change to my order...c

Service and food is always AMAZING!!! Walked in for beef tips/catfish and ended up getting curry chicken (only on Thursdays) & double chocolate 🎂 cake. That meat fell right off the bone. Potatoes were cooked to tender perfection.
