Mike's Sandwich Shop

Mike’s is the very best sandwich shop we have found in the Reading area! The food, especially Ron’s Smash burgers are to die for. This place is impeccably clean and everyone is very friendly. It has a hometown feeling and all are welcomed as they arrive. Just can’t say enough good things about this gem! We love it.

A top quality sandwich. Great value for the money. They make your sandwiches the way you want it and never make you feel like it is inconvenient. I have been searching for a good sub/ hoagie in Berks County for 8 years. I found it here at Mike's. Bridget rocks, so does the owners. I would highly recommend making Mike's a weekly go to place.

I discovered Mike’s when I was pregnant in April 2025 because I didn’t bring a lunch to work and I didn’t have a ton of time in between meetings (it is walking distance from my office). The Buffalo chicken cheesesteak quickly became my pregnancy craving. I am not exaggerating when I say that I raved about this cheesesteak for 30 minutes to my husband when I got home from work that day and I have had my fair share of buffalo chicken cheesesteaks in my lifetime. I got a blt and it was amazing and so were the onion ring. Everyone was very nice and my food came out pretty fast.

We have been looking for good cheesesteaks, and this was a definite fail. The staff was nice and friendly. The Italian was good, fries were good but that cheesesteaks was the worst I've ever had. The meat wasn't a bad texture, but the taste was way off. We ended up throwing it away. I refused to waste my calories.
