Mike & Pop's Bistro & Tavern

I stopped in to Mike & Pop’s for Lunch with my brother and had a fantastic experience! We each ordered the French onion soup and split a beef on weck. The soup was outstanding! A deliciously different variation of an old standard! The cheese has a perfect crisp to it and the broth had an unusual sweetness to it that set it apart from all the others, and above most! The kummelweck roll was soft and had the traditional salt and caraway sweet mixture on top. The beef was tasty, I just wish it were a little more tender. Our server, Bradley, was the star of the show. This gentleman was attentive and on point! Great experience!

Was very delicious, Service was great, and the staff is super sweet. Pop checked up on us and was super sweet. French onion soup is a fan favorite for a reason! 10/10 recommend!

I want to update my reviews because I didn’t do this place justice. The atmosphere is great. It’s peaceful and quiet. The booths give a sense of privacy unlike a lot of of other places with standard booth styles. For appetizer we had the Caprese dip. If you love cheese, this is a dish for you. My wife had the honey glazed salmon. I didn’t get to try it but she said she fell in love with it. She couldn’t finish it all in one sitting so she took it home and ate the rest the following morning for breakfast! I had the rodeo burger. An 8oz single patty made with a mixture of meats (I forgot but it included brisket). It was very tasty. I didn’t want to ruin the flavor by adding ketchup or other condiments so I ate it as is. This local spot truly deserves more love than it gets, it’s such a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and inviting, like a place you immediately want to settle into and enjoy. The staff was kind and attentive, making us feel cared for the entire time. The food? Absolutely top tier. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich (tossed!) and it was out of this world crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. My husband got the Rodeo Burger and said it was one of the best he’s had in a long time. We definitely enjoyed the experience. The food was flavorful, hot and yummy. The only thing is the metal chairs are really uncomfortable.
