Middle Country Public Library Selden Building

The library has all the necessary help for adults who often do not have computer skills. Library staff will help and tell you how to do what you are interested in. Sincere thanks to the entire library team!

I only come to this library so that my toddler can play his favorite trains. They have a nice kids area. It’s not too crowded when we are there. I guess we got lucky. Neither have I noticed staff to be rude or anything.

The people who work here are very rude, they are always talking so loud at the front. Good luck trying to read a book here there’s no quiet place to sit.

Wonderful library for its size. All librarians and staff, are very helpful especially Brook and Tina. They will go the extra for you, even if it is simple or has been asked a 1000 times over.

Library is nice but there aren’t enough places to sit, it’s hot, and the most annoying part is the library staff (and patrons) have absolutely no self awareness and are often times talking at full volume when people are trying to concentrate on their work. This is a library where the expectation is to speak quietly and respectfully with an inside voice. It’s not a cafe environment. As I’m typing this, the staff members are speaking very loudly from down in the children’s area and I can hear their entire conversation, with headphones on, from above at the adult level. Again, I wouldn’t expect absolutely no speaking, but the lack of awareness is truly shocking.
