Mid Del Taco Inc

I should begin by saying I've been coming here for ages. And I kept coming back because it was so good. I hadn't been in a few months so I decided to go today. What has happened???? Why is the sauce different? Everyone I know goes because of the sauce. It was definitely different today. I think it might have been ketchup. You'll see in my photos. The color and consistency is even wrong. The flavor is like seasonless tomato ketchup now. Aside, from the sauce, the food is barely meh and I think it's always been that way but the sauce always made it better. My hot link was more like jerky. Very dried out and the bun was stale. My taco burger was okay. Again, stale bun. Everything was freezing cold. Like it was taken straight out of the refrigerator. The only reason I kept so many stars is be

Honestly not sure what the hype is around this place. Waited 20 min in the drive thru for 3 items. Previously saw that they had a special for 2 tacos, 1 combo burrito and a drink for 5.75, today it was just over $11. I saw a previous comment about the sauce tasting like unflavored ketchup and that lined up with my experience.

This place has been here for decades. I used to hit this place back in middle and high school in the late 80s/early 90s. It's within walking distance and the prices were really good for back in the day. I moved away and it wasn't so convenient to grab anymore. Started to find myself in the area again and started going back. It hasn't changed much. I'd still choose this over the fast food offerings. This is a hole in the wall. The ladies working are (and always have been) great. The tables and chairs are wobbly in the SMALL dining room. On nice days, just head out to the patio. The ladies will bring your food out to you but they have to dodge the parking lot traffic to do so. So be patient. Safety First =)
