Michael's Deli Waycross

I was very skeptical about going here because the very first review I read was a 30 to 45 minute wait .. my husband asked and the wait staff explained the review. We found that review was not accurate. Our order was placed at 1: 34pm and we got our food at 1: 45pm. That's not bad at all. Husband ordered a half turkey sub with coleslaw and I ordered the Monte Carlos half sub with baby cakes. Everything was very good. They were on top of cleaning the tables right away. The food was awesome and had a great taste to it. The service was kind and friendly.

Carry out order. Asked for a whole sub, half sub with onions, half without. Stated they couldn’t do that. No problem, just keep onions on the whole sub. Stated order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Went to pick up order and waited 35 minutes only to get home with cold fried mushrooms and no onions on sub whatsoever. Do better, please!

This place will go down hill if you don't rehire. Whatever new ppl you have working, will run this place down. I did an online pickup, waited 20 mins and stood around for another 15. Turns out it was ready the whole time even after asking me for the name twice. Apparently from the front "the back was ready to leave" I guess a change in shift bc it was only 3:30 p.m. Asked for no onions and no tomatoes and still got it on my sandwich. Missing sauces even after confirming the number. And cherry on top, front complaining about folks walking in, when the sit down wasn't even busy.

My husband and I ordered the fried fish and the grilled trout, and a side of mushrooms. We received two cocktail sauce, two tartar sauce, and one ranch. We only used one cocktail took the other three unopened containers to the front and ask for another ranch and they wanted to charge me $.50. The large order of mushroom should come with two ranches.

We were visiting family, and decided to try Michael's. We are very glad we did. The staff was friendly, the seafood was fresh, and well cooked. The sandwiches were filling, and made with fresh ingredients. We will be back when we visit!
