Mi Warike

What a gem of a place. The tallarines verdes was perfectly creamy and meat was delicious. The white rice with the lomo saltado was a little undercooked, but otherwise we loved everything. Will definitely be coming back.

The food was incredible and I appreciated all the classic salsa music was playing throughout the background. It's a small local restaurant and there was just 1 person at the register and serving guests, but he was kind and attentive to me and my partner. But really, the food was just that good. Juicy chicken like any good Latin style meat should be, and the tallarines verde was very flavorful and hearty, and the aji was perfect. The portions are huge, had more than enough for leftovers after so you definitely get your money's worth of food. Definitely will be eating here again.

Best roasted chicken we ever had! So flavorful, moist and tender! The pasta dish was really good too. I forgot the name of it but it was chicken over pesto pasta. Will definitely be going back!

My boyfriend and I visited Mi Warike for the first time over the weekend, and we were so impressed. I grew up around the best Peruvian restaurants in Northeast Jersey, and this place brought all those flavors back—and more. It’s small with warm decor and music that gave me serious nostalgia and made me miss my home country in the best way. We got the whole rotisserie chicken with tostones and steak cut fries for $24—a steal. The chicken was perfectly marinated, juicy (even the breast!), and full of flavor. We cleaned the bones!
