Mi Tierra Restaurante Mexicano - Forest Hill

We just left your restaurant totally disappointed. MiTierra use to have delicious authentic Mexican food. What happened? The food wasn't good at all, especially foe the price. We ordered one enchilada meal and one burrito with a small order of queso, two waters, one Dr. Pepper and one frozen margarita. It was 1:30 on a Wednesday, so we thought we were getting the lunch menu. When I got the ticket it was almost $64.00!!! I was shocked. On top of that, the food we received looked more like a lunch portion , not a full meal you normally receive at dinner. When I asked why it was so expensive during the lunch hours, she told me they did not have a lunch menu, although we received a lunch portion of food. I politely paid and tipped the wattress a decent tip, but I will not be returning.

Well walking in the ambience was nice, beautiful inside. We were seated quickly and drinks was placed and on our table promptly. I ordered street tacos my husband ordered steak quesadillas. The food had flavor. We will definitely go back. I noticed my post says FORREST HILLS but that is not the location we went to. It’s in Alexandria the one next to TexasRoad House.

We were not made aware before hand that they would not be able to take a card as payment. So after we ate (where we had to ask for things like refills, and were not brought all that we ordered). We waited 30 minutes to pay, since my husband had to go find an atm to pay cash. After he returned, I was expecting some kind of discount since I have now waited 30 minutes and the driving around for an atm (the closest one was 15 minutes away). No discount or any kind of attempt to make the situation better. And as people were walking in as we waited, they were not making people aware of their situation just seating them.

Good service, great food, a little dirty and the tables were dirty and sticky. I'm not sure if the food is worth the price though. Crazy expensive.

Mrs. Irma is awesome and the food is authentic Mexican dishes. Our family group of 30 were treated with friendly service and we absolutely loved our dining experience.
