Mi Tierra Jalisco

So I went to Mi Tierra Jalisco and ordered their special of 3 tacos, that all must be the same. Which is no big deal because I love potato and egg tacos. Another plus is that they do have Mexican Coke there, which I thoroughly enjoy with my meals. When my tacos arrived at my table, they all were filled about halfway. Now I understand if you're getting the special sure they might skim save a little money but this was way more than just skimping. I could have cut the taco in half and put it all in one side for all three. So I was greatly disappointed in the amount that was put in the tacos. I left hungry. So if you're looking to get full off three tacos avoid this place. They are very stingy on how full they fill their tacos. The tacos did taste good however but not worth a half a taco.

Definitely recommend! Very good food, a standout in the area. Tortillas are great, loved the cook on them to be a bit “well done”. And they are filled up full. We did breakfast, and everything served hot and fast. Really enjoyed everything we ordered. And all reasonably priced. Great service by very friendly helpful folks. Clean restaurant, smallish but nice inside. A few booths and tables, chair seats oddly a bit tall, but overall nice appropriate atmosphere. Our new “go to” for tacos in Hondo.

Great food. But....finished our meal. I got up to pay , my wife went to car to get her "to go "mug ,she left her purse on the table. Staff cleared our table. Threw our delicious lemonade away. Told staff we were not done, we wanted our lemonade, staff would not give us replacement lemonade. Told us it's 1.50 for a refill. We just wanted what they threw. They insisted it would be a refill. No apology. Too bad service is bad. Cuz food is good. Not going back.

Got the lunch I needed. A la Carte menu as well as plates lets you order the right amount of chow. Puffy tacos were great. Giant glass of ice tea. . Friendly staff, fun music, hand painted tables and beautiful chairs. Right along the highway.

Their breakfast tacos are usually pretty good. I would not recommend the chilaquiles. You can get way better that include a pork chop for $3 less down the road. The eggs were over cooked and the chips soggy after I guess they microwaved it to try and melt the cheese. Not my go to in town but thought I’d give it another try since we hadn’t been in a couple months. They also charge for to go containers if you dined in and ordered too much food. Staff is nice.
