Mi Buena Vida

My daughter-in-law kept telling me to go so I did today. She said the Mexican food there was great and she is a great cook and baker so I pretty much do anything she says. I had taken out and they prepared it pretty quickly for me. The food was great. I could only eat half of the steak burrito.

This place was so wonderful! We had made a reservation earlier in the day and we were sat as soon as we walked in. We were able to sit outside and listen to the band that was playing a few doors down. The chips and salsa were a great indicator that we were in for a good time! The chips were fresh and very well seasoned! Not to mention the variety that the salsa bar offered! Sweet and spicy flavors at the salsa bar were all delicious! Even mixing some of the flavors was a great move. The only snafu that I can think of was the service was a little slow, but nothing crazy. The servers all seemed to work well together when they were out on the patio. This is one of our favorite places in SLC. We take all of our friends and family here. The food is quick and delicious. The service is so kind and welcoming. It fits so well on 15th and 15th. Such a great energy. Best shrimp tacos I've had. Love Mi Buena Vida!!

The service and atmosphere was really solid, however the food is mid at best. We had 2 fajitas, one chicken and one beef and both were bland and tasteless, plus the side of refried beans and rice was extremely small portions. Salt Lake City may very well have the worst Mexican food scene in the country.

Sam helped us and she was like a Disney princess, so kind so caring and an absolute joy to be around! I googled “margaritas near me” and this came up somehow I’ve never heard of it, but I believe it’s my new favorite restaurant! Whoever designed this restaurant I want to design my house. I got a frozen strawberry margarita, which was amazing and clearly made to Order! My boyfriend got the agua de jamaica and it had dried Hibiscus flour on top which was absolutely beautiful and it tasted very fresh and homemade.
