We loved everything about our lunch here! The service was fantastic. The food was amazing. Humus and tzatziki sauces were homemade (and for sale) and were absolutely incredible. It's super old school inside and that's hard to find in Broward still. The booth benches though, a tad hard for my liking.
Don’t let the ‘tucked away in a strip mall’ image influence your decision to eat here! We sat comfortably at the bar. Since we couldn’t decide on any one thing we shared. The Horiatiki salad was fresh, and plentiful with two nice size pieces of feta! We had dug in by the time the photo was taken so it does not appear! Next came the Loukaniko Greek sausage with a citrus flavor. This was delicious with the grilled pepper and tzatziki. Not pictured but eaten was the spanakopita. It was a generous serving and definitely enough for two. The finish was a nice Greek coffee and baklava. We will be sure to go back when in the area!
Disappointed at Mezes Greek Taverna I really wanted to enjoy this place, but for the price you’re about to spend, the experience just doesn’t hold up. The food was… fine. Not bad, but nowhere near worth the cost. The “Greek salad” came with one lonely olive, two tomato slices, a couple cucumber rounds, and a literal splash of oil—more like a garnish than a dish. It felt like a parody of Mediterranean freshness. Service was equally underwhelming. Our server spent most of her time scrolling on her phone, barely checking in. When I asked for lemonade, it arrived in a glass packed with ice and what tasted like watered-down concentrate. Pour quality, pun intended. If you’re looking for a memorable Greek meal, this isn’t it. Mezes might work for a quick bite, but not if you’re expecting value
We visit this place at least once a month and every selection has been delicious. Today we tried Stuffed Red Peppers, great flavor, very good and my husband never misses Lamb Chopps and please don't miss the octopus. The attention of Efi as always excellent eventhoug they were full, everybody make sure that you are attended.
This place has been around for almost 20 years for a reason. Our server Efi…..aka Alfi…was super friendly and very personable. We had a light lunch with pita and lunch salads. Very fresh and nicely put together.
