We had an incredible lunch today. The food was delicious. We had the queso, birria tacos, quesadilla, California burrito, the churros, and the tostada and salsa. Everything was perfect, including the server! They were attentive but gave space to enjoy the food. I also ordered the carne asada for someone who couldn’t attend and when we got home, it was still amazing. We would wholeheartedly recommend going here. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff were warm and inviting. We can’t wait to go back!
5 stars all around! I went to Mezcal tonight for the first time, as my husband wanted to try it out for his birthday. We used to eat at Pablo’s when it was opened and enjoyed the food there so I was sure this place wouldn’t disappoint. We had a large group but the staff was completely patient and kind to all of us, as it was a packed house. The hostess was mindful to put us at a table where we wouldn’t be totally cramped. Everything on the menu looked delicious and our friends raved that my husband made a good decision to choose this place, as they had never been either. Our server, Jake, was attentive and quick. He also went along with my friends’ dad jokes instead of brushing him off lol. By the end of the night, the owner(?) brought out a round of tequila shots to our table. He didn’t h
Came on a Friday night in February with another couple. We put our name in and had about 30 min wait so went for a drink. We were sat in the booths past the bar. Lighting is very bright, I thought it was a cafeteria or something. Ordered drinks and the chips were brought out (these are crisp tortillas that you break). Salsa was very good. Ordered Duck mole - not too spicy but was good. My wife had the Chili Colorado. Tender and well seasoned. It is a bit loud and lighting not so great, but food and service were pleasant.
Corn ribs were outstanding. Basically street corn cut into quarters. A bit messy to eat but very delicious. Duck mole was excellent. Chile relleno was average. Grandad margarita was excellent. Guacamole was average.
Mezcal Spirit of Oaxaca is a must visit while in Ferdinanda Beach. Conveniently in the heart of all the shops and walking area. It’s family-owned, and the original owner still works there every day — such a passionate, kind, and genuine man. You can feel the love in the food and the atmosphere. Everything was delicious, and the experience felt truly authentic.
