Mexicali Cantina Grill

Mexicali Cantina Grill on Shrewsbury St. Worcester is an enjoyable experience! I have gone here a few times and lady evening was the best. A rare commodity in this area to have off street free parking for starters. The architecture of the building is truly lovely where one can see with the entrance, lofty ceilings, glass work that this was a restored gem. Wait staff, bartenders, prices, quality of everything, wait time and overran experience was 4 high stars. I had the skirt steak and will get it again. Head to Mexacli Worcester for a good evening out!

I had the seafood soup and my friend had the chicken tortilla soup, and they were both really tasty. We waited a little longer to be served, but the waitress was super nice once she came. She wasn’t too attentive after that, but it was still fine. The place is clean, has a good vibe, and a good musica I’d recommend it.

We were in Cancun and Texus a month ago and compared the food, Mexicali has better value and flavor. The dual grilled meats were nicely marinated and grilled. The shrimp with rice sauce is not heavy but not bad. The seafood soup was delicious. Overall the whole family loved the experience. Service was a little slow but very friendly.

Me and my wife had the most disappointing experience last night at this restaurant. We have been coming to this restaurant for a long time now and we already expected the same good ol’ service. We get our free salsa and as soon as I go to dip the chip on the salsa when I’m pulling it out there was a hair in it. I told the waitress and she didn’t seem happy with that. She got us a new one and everything was fine until I ordered a fried calamari. It came so overcooked that it was almost burnt. So rubbery that my wife couldn’t chew on it. We’ve had their fried calamari before so I knew there was something wrong. I asked the waitress about it and she said that the calamari comes frozen and that it always look like that. Disappointing experience and I don’t think I’ll be coming back. It seemed

Went there on a Friday evening and sat upstairs. We got a table for 9 (with kids) without reservations which was great. The food was delicious and plentiful. Great amount for the price, tasted fresh, and came out fast. The service was amazing as well with a very friendly and attentive waiter. Place has a good buzz. Kids Menu available as well!
