Customer Reviews
I’m so happy I found a seafood market near me. I’ve been buying from whole foods and have been pretty grossed out by how fishy the Bedford whole foods seafood section smells. Been walking past this market but was nervous to try. Finally decided to buy salmon from them yesterday and the quality of the fish was unmatched. You can taste the difference in the quality of fish. And it melted in my mouth 😍 Can’t wait to return and try out some other 🐟
Cash only fish monger with amazing fresh seafood of all kinds at the right price. You'll also find knowledgeable staff that can answer any questions you may have about how to cook for best results.
If you’re looking for a hidden gem of a seafood market, this spot is IT! A classic mom-and-pop shop with a great selection of fresh seafood, and most of it is very reasonably priced. I stopped by recently and picked up a gorgeous branzino. After roasting it at home, it melted in my mouth—so tender and flavorful. You can tell they take pride in their quality. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be coming back to stock up on their selection of shrimp, scallops, and clams too. If you’re serious about fresh seafood and supporting local businesses, this market is a must-visit.
Great place for the freshest fish, seafood, shrimp, all the things. This place is one of the many awesome Italian stores in East Williamsburg which has been the anchor of the neighborhood since before gentrification. Harkens back to old New York and makes me happy to support. Cash only, but there's an ATM on the premises.
Pat is one of the most generous and accommodating salesmen I’ve ever met. I stopped in to check out his sashimi-grade fish for a 40-person seated dinner. He gave me a free sample of his salmon, scallops and shrimp to help me make a decision. He also gave me a free swordfish steak because I wanted to see how this tasted raw prior to buying. When it came time to make the order, he gave me a generous discount since I was buying in bulk. Pat cares most about happy and loyal customers rather than making a profit, and it shines through in his actions. Highly recommend visiting Metropolitan Fish Market and buying his fish!
