Metro Pub & Coffeehouse

Absolutely favorite place that my husband and I love to go and eat. Food is amazing and fresh. Staff is friendly especially Skylar. She was our server and what an amazing personality and sincere friendliness. We will always ask for you! Thank you for making our night so fun!

I was recently in Augusta on a business trip and found myself wanting coffee. One of my coworkers who is from the area suggested Metro Coffeehouse so I decided to walk down to its location and take in the city of Augusta. The building has an aesthetic from being older and the atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from an urban setting coffeehouse. Artwork on the walls, wooden floors, and a pub is attached so you can go there for a pick me up or a knock me down which is awesome. The coffee was great and price point fair considering it’s a coffeehouse in a city. The only criticism is that a chandelier is directly in the way of the menu chalkboard above the counter where you order. Definitely a do-it-again upon my return to Augusta.

The Metro Pub & Coffeehouse has been a pillar of the CSRA for numerous decades; it's a staple of the downtown Augusta scene. I first stepped foot onto their floor when I was 13, and I immediately fell in love. Now the Metro just feels like a home away from home. During the day the atmosphere is nice & quiet so if you need to do some remote work you can; during the night it gets much more lively but the crowd is great & occasionally a band plays as well!

Stopped in for coffee and a bite and was not disappointed. The coffee was excellent (plain, black, and hot is my preference) and the danishes and macarons were also good. When I stopped in about mid morning , there was only one worker so a line formed quickly and it took a while to get served. I’m not sure if this is typical, but the wait wasn’t too bad and the food was good. Prices are also very reasonable.

Okay, I always thought this place was just a coffee house, no!! It serves alcohol which helps when you just want a drink without the crowd or nosie. It is opened late while other bars are closed. The drinks and the coffee are a must have when you visit Augusta 🌟🌟🌟🌟
