Mess Hall 65

Asked for fries with my to go tray since the portions suck and was told no cause it was from the “fast food” and I wasn’t able to get more food. Saying that’s not how it works. Just give me my crappy scoop of fries @vincent.

The food here certainly isn't bad and for the most part, the staff is friendly. I will say this, they definitely need to work on their process for fast chow. If I wait in that line, it typically means I'm in a hurry and half to be back at work ASAP. There should be absolutely no reason why I should place my order at fast chow, watch somebody else pass by and go to the main line, sit down and eat, watch them leave and I still haven't gotten my food. So as long as you're not getting fast chow, youre in business.

On my visit, the staff was very friendly. The breakfast food was a little bland but for 1/4 the cost of a chain restaurant, really can't complain. Overall, happy with my visit.

I usually choose this chow hall because it normally has the "best" choices out of the limited options for the chow we're required to pay for even if we don't eat it. Tuesday afternoon chow and the only options were a sloppy burrito on one side and on the other side was some sort of processed steak patty or casserole with sides of mashed potatoes and terribly seasoned squash and green beans. I couldn't even choose a salad because the salad bar was taken over by items to add to the burritos.

This is the best chow hall on base! The quality of food is the highest and all Marines will say it is the best if you ask them. They have really great entrees and the staff is super friendly.
