I'm going to say something slightly controversial: Old Village is superior to downtown Plymouth. And, Meridian Coffee Co. is one of the reasons. There is a truly local core at the heart of the neighborhood and it couldn't be more apparent here. As soon as you step in you're greeted warmly by the kindest staff and most cozy space. There's art on the walls from a famed local bon vivant, fresh pastries, and a rotation of lattes from the heavens. They'll even make you your favorite from last season, if you're one to stick with 'the usual' and their roasts are all lovely on their own without added flavor, for the record. Supporting local is so important and building community through these small businesses adds an allure to a neighborhood that isn't easily replicated by large chains. So, h
I stopped in here on my way out of town from the Zach Bryan concert because I prefer local coffee shops if I can get them! This coffee is sooo good!! I bought a bag of their medium roast coffee to take home just to try it and I hope I can talk them into shipping me a few bags! It’s one of the best beans I’ve used in my home espresso machine and my French press!! Get a coffee, buy a bag of beans, you won’t be sorry!
Lovely little cafe just outside downtown Plymouth. The staff was sitting on the floor behind the counter when I came in but got up and were friendly. My cortado was ok but the coffee flavor didn’t come through very strong. I really love that they have coffee options that I don’t see at a lot of coffee shops in the U.S. though (i.e., cortado, macchiato). I also bought some beans to take home so I’m excited to try those. There were quite a few people working from their laptops. I enjoyed my coffee while reading my kindle and it was very peaceful.
Stopped here on a whim, took my first sip and said "oh, wow!" (Holiday latte w/caramel, hazelnut and pistachio). Plus they had a vegan option for sweet treats, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.
By far my favorite coffee shop in town. Everyone is so friendly, their coffee is always perfect. It’s a great spot for a quick delicious cup of coffee or sit down with a book. My son & I had a quick little break with 2 of their holiday lattes and then would perfection!
