⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely phenomenal meal at Mercado. The menu blends Portuguese flavors with some fun fusion dishes, and everything we tried was fantastic. It honestly made us miss our trip to Portugal so much. The tofu bánh mì was amazing and packed with flavor. Even though there are some creative dishes on the menu, they stay true to Portuguese staples where it counts. Everyone has to get the pastel de nata — they’re absolutely delicious and a must-order. We stopped in for lunch on a random Monday and it was surprisingly packed, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind if you’re planning a visit. Clearly a lot of people know how good this place is!

I love a good cafe with natural lighting! Mercado blends cafe and lunch spot together with their extensive menu (will be trying a grain bowl next go round). I happened to go there when their wifi was turned off (11am - 2pm), but once it was put back on, the connection was great and speedy. I like how you order your food and they deliver it to you (facilitates crowding and allows people to continue their work/convos at the table). First, I had an apple cake and matcha with oat milk and agave. Both were amazing! The matcha was lovely and the cake was moist and the perfect amount of sweet. Later on, I had a side of fries and water with a salted caramel coffee to go. Everything came out delicious and will definitely be going again! Highly recommend this place to anyone!

Having been here many times, this is my top choice for breakfast in Montclair. I think I like the food and atmosphere.

It was fine. Tried a few times - Pancakes and French toast are some of the best I’ve had. Food is ok, you seat yourself, order yourself (pay at the same time) and wait at your table for food. Staff passes by once or twice after they bring your food to see if you need anything. Very clean, even the bathrooms. I’d go back to try a few other things and will adjust this review if necessary.

Great breakfast and brunch spot. Really fresh ingredients, clean and vibrant/bright atmosphere. Our party ordered different items and none of us were disappointed. Avocado Toast, Salsa Wrap, Farmer’s Garden Omelet, and Chicken Fry Sandwich. They have a smoothie/juice bar that offers some unique blends. I tried the early riser, and was very satisfied with it - had a spicy kick to it with the ginger.
